# What You Need:
→ Bread
01 - 1 small baguette, sliced into 8 diagonal pieces
02 - 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
→ Topping
03 - 4 ounces fresh goat cheese, softened
04 - 4 tablespoons chili jam
05 - Fresh basil leaves, for garnish
06 - Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
# Directions:
01 - Preheat oven to 400°F. Arrange 8 baguette slices on a baking sheet and brush both sides lightly with olive oil.
02 - Toast in the oven for 6-8 minutes, turning once, until golden and crisp. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
03 - Spread each toasted slice generously with softened goat cheese.
04 - Spoon approximately 1/2 tablespoon of chili jam over the cheese on each bruschetta.
05 - Garnish with fresh basil leaves and a sprinkle of freshly ground black pepper.
06 - Serve immediately while the bread is still warm.
