# Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a mini muffin tin with paper liners or lightly grease to prevent sticking.
- In a mixing bowl, cream unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Incorporate the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl until evenly combined.
- Add half of the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, followed by the milk, then the remaining dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined without overmixing.
- Distribute batter evenly into prepared muffin cups, filling each about two-thirds full.
- Bake for 10 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Remove and cool completely on a wire rack.
- Beat softened butter until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar while mixing well. Add milk and vanilla extract; beat until fluffy and smooth.
- Divide the frosting into small bowls and tint with gel food coloring as desired to create colors for clock faces and decorative details.
- Once cooled, apply a smooth layer of colored buttercream onto each mini cake.
- Use decorating gel, mini chocolate chips, or colored frosting to paint clock faces, numbers, and clock hands pointing to midnight. Add edible pearls and optional sprinkles for embellishment.
- Arrange the decorated mini desserts on a serving platter and present immediately.
